I 2019 kunne det rapporteres, at flere steder i Polen havde indført såkaldte „LGBTI+ frie zoner“ med opbakning fra højreekstremistiske grupper. Det har haft voldsomme konsekvenser for landets LGBTI+ personer, der står overfor både politisk modvilje og samfundets fordømmelse. In 2019, it could be reported that several places in Poland had introduced so-called "LGBTI+ free zones" with the support of right-wing extremist groups. This has had dire consequences for the country's LGBTI+ people, who face both political resentment and societal condemnation.
