March 16, 2026. National Freedom of Information Day. The birthday of James Madison. Sunshine Week. And the day we officially entered the era of the Antifa trials.
On this episode of Ignition News, Dan connects two stories that together tell you everything you need to know about where this administration is heading.
First: eight people were convicted of terrorism charges in federal court for being present at a July 4th protest outside the Prairieland ICE detention facility in Alvarado, Texas. None of them shot anyone. The government's argument was that their coordination, their preparation, and the fact that they wore dark clothing together constituted material support for terrorism. Cash Patel himself called it the first successful use of a material support for terrorism charge against Antifa members. That is proof of concept. And the label "Antifa" now belongs to the government to define and assign.
Second: the same night, President Trump posted a nearly 400 word rant on Truth Social calling for journalists covering the Iran war to be charged with treason. Treason is punishable by death. The specific story that triggered him was a Wall Street Journal report on five Air Force refueling planes struck at a Saudi air base. Trump called it false. The media that actually distributed an AI generated video of the USS Abraham Lincoln on fire? That was Iranian propaganda. The press debunked it. The president lied about it.
Dan also covers the NBC poll showing a historic reversal in American public opinion on Israel, the ongoing collapse of the Iran campaign, allies refusing to protect the Straits of Hormuz, six dead service members the president refused to acknowledge, and a new threat being floated: Cuba.
The government is making its citizens into enemies. The press is being threatened with death. And the Democratic Party leadership still hasn't woken up.
You are not alone. But you need to be paying attention.
