Earlier this week, Parliament’s Portfolio for Home Affairs adopted the Electoral Amendment Bill despite objections to the draft legislation. After a second session of public submissions, civil society organizations believe that their concerns have not been included in the adopted Bill and may create a constitutional crisis before the 2024 elections. As a result, a collective group has launched a campaign to lobby Members of Parliament to vote against the passing of the Bill.
