This story is the first publication, unattributed, later published in 1901 under the author’s name - by “Jimmie Pannikin” (Donald E. Fraser). It’s not a bush story per se – it’s about a small-time urban villain – contrasting the two worlds of the 1890s. It was uncovered and rewritten by ANU.
