In this episode Annie talks with Matthew Charles, a mystic, poet and abolitionist whose work primarily explores the labyrinth of the construct of race in America. He has recently released a book called “you can not burn the sun”. In this podcast they look in depth at some of the themes present in the book, as well as hearing a couple of poems from the book. They discuss the protests surrounding the murder of George Floyd in the summer of 2020 and how that has effected the direction that Matthew's work is taking.
