The Art of Communicating with Film Producer Mark Wright
Ep.1 Mark W. Wright talks his ESPN Film "Redemption Song".
On the first episode of Creating Space, ESPN writer/editor/producer Mark W. Wright joins the show to talk about his development as a journalist and his unique relationship with the written word.
Mark also shares his recent evolution into film production. His first body of work, an ESPN short - executive produced by Spike Lee and directed by Kenan K. Holley - is entitled "Redemption Song", about Howard University's storied soccer program from the 70s. "Redemption Song" premieres on ESPN on June 10th - at 6 pm.
Most significantly, Mark opens up about his experience standing by the side of his wife, fellow journalist Heather Keets Wright, as she battled and DEFEATED Breast Cancer. He explains how they found a unique way to connect with each other sharing their own experiences fighting Cancer that has made their marriage stronger than ever.
