The holidays can be a beautiful time of celebration and all of the positive warm feelings. They can also be a time of acute grief as we miss people who are no longer with us, reflect on the past year, and feel the pain of specific or ambiguous loss . We know that Covid-19 has brought its own loss and sadness to many homes. In this episode, Thelma graciously and honestly shared her insight into how we can experience both joy and grief simultaneously, how God cares for us in our our sadness, and the ways we can comfort others experiencing grief.

This Christmas we pray that the celebration of Jesus’ birth will comfort you and encourage you knowing that he came to this earth to be with us in our suffering, to be Immanuel - God with us. He came to ultimately defeat death and brokenness, restoring us to him and promising to restore creation to perfection again when he returns.
