The Art of Receiving
So many of us know how to give…
but very few of us were ever taught how to receive.
Receiving requires openness.
And openness requires safety.
Many of us have learned, early on, that receiving love, support or abundance was conditional, something we had to earn, prove, preform for or deserve. Over time, our little heart learned to stay closed and guarded.
But life is not meant to be closed or guarded. When we are guarded, we operate from the place of fear. In that place nothing can grow, nervous system gets too tense to receive the abundance of the Universe.
When we practice acceptance of ourselves, of the present moment, of what is, something inside of us softens. The body relaxes. The heart opens wide. And in that opening, life begins to meet us.
It is the act of love towards ourselves that creates the safety within. In that safe space, we don't chaise we receive effortlessly.
