Tawana McGriff is a dedicated leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for youth and women’s empowerment. Born, raised, and educated in Winter Park, FL, she attended Seminole State College before earning her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University.
She is married to Jonathan McGriff, and together they have a blended family of five.
Passionate about serving vulnerable communities, Tawana co-founded LaShai House in 2015 with her husband, providing support for youth aging out of the foster care system. She later expanded these efforts, launching the LaShai House Day Camp in 2022 for children in foster care without placement and establishing the LaShai House Group Home in 2023 for at-risk girls ages 8-17. Today, she serves as the COO of LaShai House and is also the co-owner of LaShai House Holdings.
Beyond her work with foster youth, Tawana is the founder of Spread the Love, an organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting women. She also co-founded the Shelter Church of God in Christ in Winter Springs, FL, further demonstrating her commitment to faith and community service.
A true visionary, Tawana continues to impact lives through her leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to those in need.
