You’re listening to your favorite Spotify playlist. You hear something that inspires you. You open up Ableton, FL Studio, Logic Pro, or whatever, You pick up your guitar, and you start to create… but then that voice creeps in and whispers “You suck at this.” For some reason you can’t get your fingers to play what you hear in your head, or you feel like you’ll never get better at making music. At this point you have two options… give up or keep going. What do you choose? A lot of people mistake skill for talent. They look at the artists they admire and think they must have been born with it, but the truth is everyone who is good at something was bad at it first. They just learned to embrace failure as an art form, and the blueprint for success.
