The Art of the Lie
 
Truth is no longer truth. Lies are no longer lies. They are just inconvenient  issues.
Bad enough that this is in the world market but even worse that this is the case in the Church.
You should not be easily deceived. You should have a clear mind. Not easily swayed by appearance, affinity, race, or any other thing. - trust in the lord with all of your heart and do not depend on your own intelligence - but ask him about every major situation that you may have and he will lead you down the correct path.
 
Nonverbal signs of deceit
Grooming gestures
This one is quite common. If a person is straightening a tie or piece of clothing, giving hair, adjusting or fiddling with something else on their body like a watch or glasses, this can be a subconscious way people are trying to hide their anxiety about a question.
Verbal/nonverbal disconnect
Nod yes but saying no to a question. Fumbling over words trying to correct it.
Behavioral pause
Asking someone if they killed somebody 12 years ago, and their is a pause, they may be showing deceit
Hand-to-face movements
If you notice a person raise their hand to their mouth, or face, lick their lips, pull on their ear or adjust their hair, this can be another sign of deceptive behavior.
 
Guarded emotive gestures
Providing long answers and directly answering a question.
 
Be truthful and kind in all that you do, and hold these virtues tightly.
 
 
You must understand that you have a bias:
Racial
Social
Environmental
Political party
Religious
Regional
Sexual
Gender
Personality
 
Know your bias because its your weakness. Understand why others do what they do so that you can empathize with them and be able to understand why they do what they do.
