On this edition of The Arts Section, WDCB’s Gary Zidek catches up with the author of a new book that dives into some of Chicago’s oldest pieces of still-standing history. The Dueling Critics, Kerry Reid and Jonathan Abarbanel, join the show remotely to discuss a streaming version of FRANKENSTEIN unlike any you’ve seen before. Later in the show we’ll get into some jazz, first with a tribute to Jazz Showcase founder Joe Segal, who passed away this past week. And WDCB’s Paul Abella will stop by to talk with Gary about a restored version of the classic concert film JAZZ ON A SUMMER’S DAY.
