The assassination of President Jovenel Moise in his home in Port-au-prince on the 7th of July sent shockwaves across the world, with many wondering how a sitting President could be killed in his own home in such a brutal manner. Reports say some gun-wielding commandos shot him 16 times. He was 53. His wife, Martine Moise who was shot too is receiving treatment at a hospital in Florida, USA. So far, 21 persons have been arrested in connection with the killing including someone identified as a key suspect. However, Haitians wonder what the future holds for them as they transition into another government.
