Babylon has conquered and carried away the people of Judah, just like God had told Jeremiah. Nebuchadnezzar has left a small remnant under the leadership of Governor Gedaliah. But things are not as clear as they seem, and Gedaliah will have to be careful who he trusts...or the remnant could be destroyed. Found in Jeremiah 40-43.
