Numbering roughly 40,000, Latinos now make up 13% of our overall population – and 25% of kids under 18. The Latino community represents one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic demographics here. Unfortunately, Latinos in Boulder County also earn less than their Anglo peers and suffer disproportionately high rates of poverty – which can also negatively impact educational achievement for Latino kids. Tune in as we talk about the contributions of and challenges facing Latinos in Boulder County with Carmen Ramirez of the Latino Task Force and Mary Dolores Young of the Colorado Latino Age Wave.
