Numbering roughly 40,000, Latinos now make up 13% of our overall population – and 25% of kids under 18. The Latino community represents one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic demographics here. Unfortunately, Latinos in Boulder County also earn less than their Anglo peers and suffer disproportionately high rates of poverty – which can also negatively impact educational achievement for Latino kids.
