This episode covers Devan's playthrough of the narrative acclaimed indie title; The First Tree. Devan gives his impression of the story, visuals, controls, and in-game systems of the Nintendo Switch version of "The First Tree".

Narrated by David Wehle and his wife Elise Wehle. "From the creator of Home is Where One Starts… comes The First Tree, a third-person exploration game centered around two parallel stories: a fox trying to find her missing family, and a young couple dealing with a tragedy in theirs. Players take control of the fox on a poignant and beautiful journey that crescendos at the source of life, and perhaps results in the understanding of death. Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the young couple’s life as they too become intertwined in the fox’s journey towards The First Tree."

What is Anthem?

Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing game. Or some would call it a shared world shooter. It's scheduled for release February 22 on all platforms, namely PC, PS4, and Xbox.

What's the plot?

Upon an unfinished world, humanity struggles to survive in a savage environment full of diverse threats. Equipped with incredible Javelin exosuits, a faction known as the Freelancers seeks to trip the balance in mankind’s favor.

On this episode, I talk about my experience with the recent Anthem private and live demo. The backlash that followed it's rocky release and provides my perspective on the issue. I also cover what we know about the games story, visuals, controls and games systems. I also discuss various other in-game features including detailed information on the 4 usable javelins.

If you had the opportunity to test Anthem, let me know what you thought.

In this episode, I'll be taking a less conventional approach in discussing Apple's most recent press event where they announced the new Apple Watch Series 4, iPhone XS and XS Max & XR. Most media outlets, podcast's, etc. have already dived deep into these products technological characteristics. For this episode, I wanted to do something a little different and offer a deeper perspective and reason for why I'm considering living the iOS life for a while. Note that this is coming from a guy who's been living with Android for the past 6 years. So if you're interested in learning what my "other" deeper reasons are for possibly making the switch. Just hit play!
