NBA Free Agency is finally here and the first day brought us a ton of signings plus sign and trades! On top of that, we continued our Year in Review series with the Toronto Raptors!
The biggest name of the Atlantic to move on the first day was Kyle Lowry. He's on his way, in a sign-and-trade, to the Miami Heat while getting paid $30M per year! Does this move make the Heat a title favorite now, or are a lot of people just overreacting to an aging roster?
One of the other biggest names that are on the move is Lonzo Ball. He was moved in a sign-and-trade as well to the Chicago Bulls. One of us thinks this automatically makes the Bulls a top-six seed in the East. Could that just be a lot of speculation or will this actually unlock a lot of potential for the Bulls' top players like Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic?
Then, there were plenty of role-player signings and terrible signings to go along with those. Leading the pack is the New York Knicks giving a lot of money to Evan Fournier. We're not exactly sure what the Knicks think they can do with him added to the roster, but it looks like we'll have to find out. We also put together Dennis' list of terrible signings.
Finally, we take a brief look at the Toronto Raptors Year in Review. The team really didn't do much of note this past season on their way to a lottery pick. So, we didn't spend too much time on this as the team also has a lot to address including whether or not they want to blow it up.
