From the late 15th century, to mid 19th century, an estimated 10-12 million africans were forcibly shipped to the americas to be bought and sold as slaves, the impact of which we still feel, almost 500 years later.
In today episode of "The z Files" I cover the beginning of the atlantic slave trade as well as what it looked liked around the world. I will be finishing this two part series next week.
