It’s October of 2021, and Luna is clearing out her late aunt’s house at 58 Hemlock Road — a narrow Victorian with a locked attic she was told never to open. Inside, she finds a child’s bedroom frozen in time: a bunk bed, a row of stuffed animals, and a diary that belongs to a girl named Sara who disappeared in 1987. But the entries don’t stop after Sara vanished. They keep going, written in a hand that grows younger each page, until the final entry is in crayon — and dated three days from now. Luna takes the diary home, and that night she hears a whisper from the closet, asking for help. She doesn't know if she's supposed to burn it or answer it. She has three days to decide.
