Jordan Peterson has launched his Alliance for Responsible Citizenship Conference as an alternative to groups like the World Economic Forum. The project is a large tent meant to gather conservatives, centrists, and moderate leftists in an effort to oppose the progressive globalist project. The most recent conference serves as an interesting snapshot of the current political moment and what may be possible on both a domestic and international scale. Is America essentially a dream? An unattainable goal toward which the nation is always progressing? A set of ideas that anyone and everyone from around the world can adopt and join? The propositional nation, one built on an adherence to a series of assertions, is what conservatives have offered my entire life and the default identity they are now attempting to return to with the defeat of the multicultural globalist vision. Democrats and their media allies hoped that by drawing attention to USAID, they could frame cuts to the program as an act by callous billionaires who do not care about poor Africans being denied AIDS medication.
