For our season premiere we're releasing an episode that was recorded over a year ago but is very relevant today. Take a listen, follow us on social @The Authentik Life and share your thoughts.
The Woman, Mom and Wife roles have always stood for strength in the black community.
There’s a lot of talk about women wanting it all. Most women are trying to wear all of these hats flawlessly.
Woman. Mom. Wife. Sister. Daughter. Business Owner. Corporate Queen. Community Activist.
Why do we want it all? Is it Fantasy, Social Media, Greed?
Is it a illusion?
What does “having it all” look like?
Does this mean when dealing with grief, postpartum, career stress, heartbreak, sick children, sick parent, should we still should be able to DO IT ALL?
It’s common to see Black women being overlooked, overwhelmed or ignored or suffering in silence. Do you believe that women of color don't feel uncomfortable asking for help? Why or Why not?
Do you feel comfortable Asking for help as a woman of color? What does that look like?
These are only some of the questions we address in this episode. Let's get to it.
