Hello and welcome to The Author and the Reader. The podcast where two besties talk obsessively about all things bookish.

Rebecca Elder is the author (and technically a reader too). She's known for writing emotionally immersive love stories that will make you ugly cry, laugh out loud, and kick your feet until your socks fall off.

Lily is the reader. She's been devouring books since 1991 and it might be an undiagnosed mental health issue, but escaping into magical worlds is her fave hobby.

Together, they hope to give you the best of both worlds when it comes to reading. They’ll take you under the covers of how books are born, from the writing process to the struggles of being an author. They’ll also go embarrassingly in-depth on a variety of truly chaotic topics, like gasp-worthy theories from our favorite books, things that give us the ick, or which fictional characters we would die to bring to life.

So sit back, relax, set the mood, grab a book, a bevvy, maybe a even bite and let’s get bookin’.
