Most of us have struggled, are struggling, or will struggle with authority in our lives, and that's because most of us tend to be more stubborn than submissive. But just like the word authority begins with the word author, being able to accept authority begins with being able to trust the Author. Sure, submission can seem like the "S" word, but in reality, if we can trust God to author the story of our lives, then we won't need to fight authority anymore. After all, even Jesus accepted bad authority because He knew God was using them to accomplish His plan. He'll do it our lives, too!
