On Part 1 of this 3-part episode, Danny sits down with J-Full to talk about growing up in Atlanta, having a mother addicted to crack, moving in with his sister, bouncing around from foster home to foster home, the mental and physical abuse he dealt with from both families, his Great-Grandmother seeing and speaking greatness into him, taking up competitive swimming and football, getting fired from Blockbuster, attending different high schools in metro Atlanta, realizing that he needed to leave the city in order to grow, looking at prospective colleges and ultimately choosing to attend Duke University, the hard adjustment to campus life and a pregnancy scare.
