We now get into the episodes where we learn about the real scientific evidence, the DNA. The state's witness is Sherry Culhane from the Wisconsin State Crime lab.
In this episode we learn how they do their testing at the lab, the protocols, the safeguards, etc. But here's what sticks out to me. She qualifies her statements; a lot.

You would expect (or at least hope) that if someone is testing your stuff, you'd want definitive answers not ones that say "well, we did our best".
If youβve ever wondered how DNA evidence was tested back in 2006, what the standards were and how the process went, this episode will explain all that. The state is essentially setting the stage for what comes in the next episode: the actual results.
