God created each of us with a destiny and a purpose. When we surrender our lives to Him and begin to live in obedience to His Word & His will, we find the purpose for which we were created. And in order to fulfill this purpose, God has given us gifting diversely to accomplish what He has called us to do, and thus in doing so, God is glorified as we are fulfilling the purpose for which He created us!

When we pour out genuinely from over heart, a natural response of being poured into will also follow. When we seek God, we find Him, when we ask, an answer will be given, when we give, we will receive.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” ~ Luke‬ ‭6:38‬ ‭

Today's episode is all about worship! As created beings, we were made for the purpose of worshipping God. But what is worship? Worship may be thought of as an act of reverencing God that occurs at a specific time or place, which it can be, but worship is deeper than that. Worship is a lifestyle. when we have been born again by God's Spirit and begin to live our lives for Him our life becomes worship to God because we are fulfilling the purpose for which we were created. Psalm 96:6 says, "worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness..", so when we live a life that is set apart for God (holiness), it is worship to God. So, worship is not just about a time, place, or expression, it's a lifestyle. When we desire and pursue a heart of true worship, our spiritual eyes become enlightened to the atmosphere of heaven and the reality of God's presence, and it's His presence that transforms our lives.  

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” ~ John‬ ‭4:23-24‬

Welcome to the Awake & Arise Podcast!

Today's episode is all about understanding the Word of God – Who the Word is & how to live in obedience to the Word, thus, living in relationship with God. John 1:14 tells us that the Word is God and became a physical person, Yeshua (Jesus Christ the Son of God), “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Not only did Yeshua come to this earth to live, die for our sins, & resurrect from death, but now, after we receive salvation, the Word of God comes to live inside of us through the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) allowing us to be "born-again" (spiritual rebirth), and restoring us to relationship with God our Father. 

In order to live in relationship with God, we have to follow His Word, and to follow the Word we must know the Word. The Bible is a written revelation of the Word of God, and through studying the Bible we can learn more about God's character & His ways and thus receive direction on how to live in obedience to God.   “Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:11‬   “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ ‭
