Luna visits the old Ridgeway house one last time before it's demolished. The back bedroom has been locked for thirty years, and the realtor says nobody alive remembers why. Standing in the empty hallway, Luna hears a voice from behind the door — her own voice, from a conversation she never had. She forces the lock and finds a room exactly like her childhood bedroom, but with a calendar on the wall marked for next week. The voice keeps talking, calmly, about something terrible that hasn't happened yet. And it asks her to come in and listen.
