In this Sunday evening sermon Pastor Shifflett brings us “The Basket of Summer Fruit” sermon continuing through the book of Amos, from Amos 8:1-13.  This sermon covers the fourth vision from Amos, the warnings are over for Israel, they have plenty of time to repent.  The Prophet Amos describes their indictment, Israel cannot hide from their sinful ways anymore.  The basket of summer fruit illustrates the end of the season, end of the harvest, now Israel is entering a new season ripe for judgement.
