The Scripture is Acts 1:6-10. This sermon could have been preached today for it is so appropriate for what is going on in the world today. The forces of evil are trying to destroy the Church. We., the Church, must be committed and STAND! This sermon was preached in 1981.

The Battle Draws Near

Preacher was a great preacher and these are some of his sermons. He retired from the ministry in 1985, but he taught Sunday School for 25 years after that. He went into Heaven in May of 2016 at the age of 93. In his last years on earth, as a “shut in,” he spent a couple hours every afternoon “with the Lord.” He said to me more than once, “I’ve discovered that ‘Only Jesus, Only Jesus.’” I pray his sermons inspire you to love the Lord more and more until you come to know that “Only Jesus.”
