Winning the battle for our minds and living in freedom can seem “strange and foreign.” It may even seem more comfortable to return to those things that we have been accustomed to. When we are first free, it may be easier to return to the familiar prison cell that held us captive than to live in freedom. Don’t make the mistake of returning to your captor! Defend your heart and live in freedom.

God will not force Himself upon you! God is not going to make you live in freedom. Jesus has done everything necessary for you to live in freedom; the choice is yours. Each of us is personally responsible for our own spiritual condition. I can’t believe for you; I can’t take every thought into captivity for you. It is up to you to be free.
