We can develop strength in the place of the experiences and temptation we go through. The strength comes as a result of the track record of both your success and your failures. Failure is the discovery of an attempt to do it well again. The devil will try to magnify the experience so much not knowing that you have the power to overcome it. 

1 Cor 10:13 KJV: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
