Satan has no inherent authority in the physical realm and can only operate through human cooperation. When demons asked Jesus to enter pigs rather than be cast out, it revealed their need for physical vessels to exercise power. God gave humanity dominion over earth, making us the rightful authorities in the physical realm. Satan gained influence by deceiving Adam and Eve into surrendering their God-given authority. The battle occurs in our souls—our minds, will, and emotions. Many believers possess spiritual authority but fail to exercise it effectively because their minds remain conformed to worldly thinking rather than transformed by God's truth. Victory comes through intentional mind renewal with Scripture and refusing to yield our souls to the enemy's deceptions.
