Fintan McKahey

Fintan McKahey is this week's One To Watch with his new track Amber.

He joined Sarina on Saturday's show to tell her about the special meaning behind the track, the exciting arrival he's expecting soon and the music studio he's created beside his house in Cork.

Amber has a gorgeous story behind it. Fintan and his girlfriend are expecting a baby within the next couple of days, and with everything going on he was inspired to write a song about his girlfriend.

It's the first song he's ever written about her, admitting most of his music is less personal to him.

However, he said it makes a nice change to have something that reflects him and his life right now.

Fintan has been making music in a studio he's built beside his home in Skibbereen.

After posting some pictures and videos of the studio online he got a lot of interest from other artists and has now started his own business, Ivy Hill Studios.

Fintan said he's been enjoying the collaborative element of working with other artists. He's also looking forward to combining music work with his life as a Dad too!
