The Steadfast Love of the Lord endures forever!  We have heard Steadfast Love often enough in the psalms. But Psalm 136 underpins God’s steadfast love with everything he does. From creation to the present moment.  This psalm invites us to see all of God’s actions as being done according to God’s mercy.  This psalm is creedal then in its prayer. It gives us a summary of God’s work in creation and also in God’s work to save his people.

The Belt of Truth: Psalm 136

Take time to gird ourselves with God’s Word and find Jesus Christ in the Scriptures! 

“The Belt of Truth” is part of the Armor of God that St. Paul lists in Ephesians 6:14. This describes the Scriptures themselves that holds us fast and equip us for a life of faith in Christ. The word “Belt” also happens to be a pun on my last name. So join me each time as we gaze into the Scriptures to find Jesus Christ our Lord!
