Psalm 8 is a Psalm of praise to God for both his creation, and as we shall explore, his salvation through the Second Adam, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 8 holds together a tension, that God glory and power make us feel insignificant and small, and we wonder how he can even give a thought to us. At the same time, we are made in God’s image and made underneath him and given as lords of the creation that he has made.

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
