When I became involved in MLM I was told that I didn’t need to be a sales person. I was simply sharing information.
Since I was not a “sales person” I didn’t feel the need to learn any sales skills. The mindset of “sharing information” worked well when I made appointments with friends but then the presentation would end and I wasn’t able to ask for the sale because I wasn’t “selling” anything.
That attitude made the close extremely awkward and the follow up impossible to do.
