So, today I want to talk about getting your work critiqued. It can be a painful process for some, with many people choosing to totally avoid it because of the feeling of inadequacy it can bring, but avoid critique at your own peril! There are photographers out there with so much to share and so much knowledge that you can draw from, that even after a short (but intense) critique session you can come away feeling inspired, as though you're immediately almost a better photographer. That said, you still need to approach the right people, be prepared to take the rough with the smooth, avoid the trolls, decide if the critique provided is right for you and then, at the end of the day, put some changes into action to start making improvements.
