There is a huge debate over carbon offsets as a climate change mitigation strategy, but relatively little discussion of the most important contribution to the challenge facing carbon offsets, namely their intangibility.  This episode starts by discussing the challenge of counterfeit products generally, despite their tangibility, and then expands the conversation to carbon offsets as a totally intangible commodity.
