(2:15-2:50) US Marshals Find 79 Children

The US Marshals Service, in collaboration with local law enforcement, wrapped up Operation Meridian and located 79 missing children in the state of Ohio. The children ranged in ages from 6 to 17. The operation focused on missing children due to suspected sex trafficking, physical and emotional abuse, neglect, running away and other endangering circumstances. 10TV's Lacey Crisp reports on the two children found in Columbus. 

(2:50-10:41) Chillicothe Weighs Data Center Proposal

The Pixelle paper mill in Chillicothe closed a year ago and cost 800 jobs in the community. Since then, a glove manufacturer has moved into part of the factory and now a data center company wants to move in, too. As 10TV's Libby Cathey reports, city leaders and the data center company held an informational session at the Chillicothe High School that lasted more than two hours and not everyone is convinced about the idea.

Three more days until the Buckeyes take on the Longhorns in Austin. Last week's game against Ball State was an easy one, but these are much stronger opponents and could be the toughest game of the season. Type 1 diabetes used to be thought of as a childhood disease, but now we know it can affect anyone at any time. Treatments for Type 1 diabetes have improved immensely in recent years, but still have a long way to go. This weekend is the Breakthrough T1D One Walk on the CAS campus in Columbus to raise money. Molly Giammarco, a CAS Ambassador, talks about her personal experience with T1D and how this walk helps kids and adults with their diagnosis.

There's a lot going on at John Glenn Columbus International Airport right now. The construction of the new terminal is shifting traffic patterns coming to and from the airport. The airport is also part of a new program that is allowing certain non-ticketed people to bypass security to wait by the gates for their loved ones. 

(6:07-8:46) Mahoning County Sheriff's Office Wants Information on Acton Campaign Event

Patrick Havas, 38, was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct after he pushed through a crowd towards Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. When he was arrested, they found two handguns and a set of brass knuckles on him. Anyone with additional angles of the incident from Sunday or information on Havas is asked to contact the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office. 

(9:17-13:35) La Crosse Virus in Ohio

Most people who contract La Crosse virus have no apparent symptoms, but some people have severe symptoms that include lasting neurologic complications. Ohio currently leads the country in the number of new cases. 10TV's Rochelle Alleyne talks with one family who's son ended up hospitalized due to the virus.

(13:36-19:32) Canada Launches Retaliatory Tariffs

Weeks after trade talks between the US and Canada fell apart, Canada levied matching tariffs against the US. The tariffs range from 15 to 50% on scores of products.

Approximately 70% of Ohio's fire departments rely on volunteers, but volunteers have significantly declined in recent years even as emergency calls have risen. State Fire Marshal Kevin Reardon joins the conversation about how his office is trying to recruit new volunteers.

(2:36-8:00) Man Arrested for Lunging at Dr. Amy Acton

According to the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, Patrick Havas was arrested Sunday afternoon. The office says Havas went into the Mahoning County Democrat Party tent at the Canfield Fair and pushed through the crowd before being confronted by Acton's security detail of OSHP troopers and knocking two people to the ground. While no weapons were shown, authorities found two handguns and a set of brass knuckles on him after his arrest. Acton and Ramaswamy's campaigns, along with a number of other political leaders, have responded to the incident.

The Buckeyes keep their winning streak on opening games alive with a defeat of Ball State at the Shoe on Saturday. Lancaster police Thursday morning were looking for Joseph Smith as a person of interest after they were called to Witte Street overnight. Police were called to the house after getting a report of gunfire. 10TV's Amy Steigerwald reports from the scene. 

(4:26-6:28) Mansfield Police Officer Arrested for Drinking on the Job

Officer John Meyer showed up to work Saturday drunk and later drove under the influence the same day, according to court records. He was pulled over and arrested by Ontario police on West Fourth near Beer Road. He was booked into the Richland County Jail on august 29.

(6:58-14:05) Beating the Heat

It's the third day of extreme heat and humidity in central Ohio. COTA is waiving all fairs for public transportation and the Columbus Metropolitan Library is welcoming anyone who needs a place to cool off.

Buckey Valley Family YMCA lacks a gym, but not for much longer. After a gift of $1 million from Illuminate USA, a Pataskala-based solar panel manufacturer, the YMCA plans to break ground on a new gym this fall. Buckeye Valley Family YMCA CEO Adam Shilling joins Collin and Bryn to talk about the importance of being able to bring an indoor athletic space to western Licking County.

It's been more than two weeks since powerful storms tore through Columbus. During and after the storm, the team at Columbus 311 were able to take calls and get concerns routed to the proper places. A 20-year-old Haitian college student died on I-70 and his friends and family say he felt a lot of shame and faced bullying after he had an ankle monitor put on. Pierre Damas Bel, along with other Haitians on TPS, had ankle monitors put on by immigration officers after the Trump Administration cancelled their Temporary Protected Status. Governor Mike DeWine remains critical of the decision to end TPS for Haitian.

There was another fatal crash on Roberts Road last week. It was just the latest in a number of crashes on the busy road. 10TV's Amy Steigerwald talked with a woman who lost her mom in a crash on the road in December about the changes she is demanding along Roberts Road.

A Licking County couple was indicted on dozens of charges after they are accused of created sexual abuse material involving children. Prosecutors say John and Brianna Nethers were creating adult content on OnlyFans and authorities found videos of Brianna engaging in sex acts with minors.

(14:58-23:35) ODOT Rolls Out "Read the Road: There's Space For All" Campaign

In 2025, there were 900 fatal or serious injury crashes in Ohio involving cars, bicycles and pedestrians. ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning joins Collin and Bryn to talk about ODOT's new campaign that hopes to raise awareness about sharing the roads, especially as kids are back in school. The department is also working on re-working roads to make them safer for all different modes of transportation instead of solely car-focused.
