Welcome to Raven's Readings. All novels are copyright-free here in Canada. I'm reading from The Big Sleep, a hardboiled crime novel written in 1939 by Raymond Chandler, introducing his character Philip Marlow. It was adapted to film in 1946, starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.

The first chapter is short, so I'll add in number two. We'll meet Marlow and some of the other main characters.
