Live service in games like COD, Battlefield, and Halo have faced negative backlash since the beginning. Criticism ranges from pricey battle passes, pay to win models, and the kind of content that comes out in these battle passes/seasons. These are all valid complaints, but I have other concerns with live service. Game companies are using the live service model to fix broken and unpolished games. They also can't keep up with their own schedules. They basically use the live service model as a crutch to release buggy games that lack content at launch. Let's talk about it.
