The perfect man.
Vanessa is a strong but insecure woman.
Justin is the perfect man.
The chemistry is okay between these two.
The story was okay. I didn't really like Vanessa. I am grateful the self doubt and incrimination of Vanessa was kept to a minimum. She was at least smart enough to see what she was doing.
I am also glad the story didn't delve too much into Barron and what he could have done to mess with Justin's relationship.
I enjoyed the twist. Totally unexpected. Nicely done. This is what saved the book for me and makes me want to continue reading the series.
Favorite of the Pryce Siblings :-)
This was quite possibly my favorite Pryce book. As the baby, and only girl of the family, it is obvious how her family's lifestyle has made her untrustworthy of men. Vanessa, have loved Justin for a long time, Justin has loved Vanessa equally as long. He was protective of her, honest with her in ways that she's never truly known before, and with him, all of her hang-up which are quite valid, gets pushed to the way side. In this story, they come together as more of a family for me. Except the dad--He's a a-hole. I don't like him. But even her gruff, and very rough around the edges older brother, you kinda begin falling for. It is pretty awesome, to see actually. Justin's love for her, definitely healed her heart that she didn't even know was broken, and it was a beautiful story to read.
Fantastic!
Absolutely loved this book! I have had many book boyfriend's/husband's, but Justin take the cake. He is thoughtful, caring, protective, and gentle. From Nadia's other books I always thought he would be a carefree goofball, but that couldn't be further from the truth. He has this almost dangerous side that comes out when someone he loves is being treated badly. It refers to Justin being more vengeful than Barron, but didn't really get to see that. Well besides from the scene with Salazar. I was annoyed with Vanessa's character for most of the book, but could see where she was coming from. Growing up in a toxic home could make anyone react that way. I do wish that she would have come around sooner though. One question I do have is whether or not Peggy was who she said she was. They discussed it but did not specifically say if she was or not. Overall my favorite book of the series.
Good read
This story has everything you could want in a romantic tale. Pulls at your heartstrings when you read of Vanessaâs coming of emotional age, although the background is a little sketchy and needs to be filled in.
