Christ is not Jesus’ last name, it is His title. It is the greatest title that any person who walks this earth can receive. In a world of influencers that claim to understand the world and have all the answers, only Jesus qualifies for the title of Christ. 

 Yet Christ lived life as an outsider. He was born in a feeding trough (manger), outside the Inn. He took on the form of a servant and submitted Himself to death on a cross. “Therefore, God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

 Take-Home Message: Jesus alone qualifies for the title of Christ.
