The heartbeat splits into two—one in her chest, one outside—and Luna follows the sound to a mirror that shows her pregnant with herself. As she touches the glass, a door opens into a room where a woman is giving birth, and Luna realizes she must choose: let the child be born from her or enter the memory and become her own mother. The episode ends with Luna stepping toward the woman, the lullaby humming from both their throats.
