Edgar Allen Poe was the most prolific and intriguing writer of his time, his imagination of human mindset did make him create a myriad of stories that involved Horror and intrigue. The black cat is one such story of fall of a human by losing control over the mind and body. A first person narration makes it possible for the reader to comprehend the absolute impossible and incomprehensible. This story is not for the faint hearted, none of Poe's stories are.
