The left's specious claims have not changed fundamentally in the last half-decade. The liberal "chattering class" and "intelligentsia have consistently accused conservative Republicans of favoring tax cuts for the "rich," favoring investing senior citizens' retirement on "risky privatization schemes," destroying the environment, imposing their Christian morals on the country and starving children. Since the liberal left has essentially no new and innovative ideas of their own for reforming the very broken institutions they themselves created, they can only demonize conservative legislative proposals and ridicule conservative advocates.
