Take That to the Bank with Ian Cain

The Black Councilor Nobody Called | Ep 2

Listen Later

In 2016, I became the first Black city councilor in Quincy's history. For four years, nobody asked me about Black lives in Quincy. Then George Floyd died in Minnesota, and overnight everyone cared. Except they still didn't call me.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Book: "Bridging the Divide: My Life" by Ed Brooke - The first Black U.S. Senator elected by popular vote. Wanted to be measured as an individual, not an identity.

Watch: "Thomas Sowell: Common Sense in a Senseless World" (2021) - Documentary about one of our era's most independent thinkers.

Listen: "Changes" by Tupac - The cycle repeats. The pattern continues.

This podcast is for smart contrarians who sense they're being manipulated by media and politics and want frameworks for clearer thinking.
