Often times in church circles, you’ll hear that the most powerful words are the words in red. If you have that philosophy, then the way this book starts seems insignificant. But what the writer, John Mark, is telling his audience, is there is some significance to who else in history has foretold about the main character of his narrative. His audience is interested in Jesus, but John Mark understands that Jesus requires validation.
