If you know us, then you know we love us some scary movies with Maya Hawke’s dad - so you KNOW we had to go see the Black Phone (2022), even if he’s in a creepy half-mask half the time (& that only scratches the surface of his character’s creepiness). But *OOOF* this film surprised us in the best of ways - keeping us on our toes while screaming & cheering with our fellow theater-goers (humanity is at its best in the theater).
