Digital: Disrupted

The Black Swan of Digital Transformation – Bruce Daley

Listen Later

Paul is joined by Bruce Daley for a conversation around the disruptions that happen during digital transformation. Digital transformations often lead to unclear organizational power structures. This blurring of boundaries can be seen as a black swan – an unpredictable event that typically has extreme consequences – that can pose a threat to organizational hierarchies, but it doesn’t have to. Bruce follows business-to-business (B2B) revenue growth companies in the Customer Experience & Commerce practice at 451 Research, a part of S&P Global Market Intelligence. Prior to joining S&P Global Market Intelligence, he followed an untraditional career path in law, programming, sales, consulting, finance and marketing for firms like Sherman & Howard, Bain & Company and Oracle. He is also the founder of The Siebel Observer, a publication read in 40 countries. He has written two books, Where Data Is Wealth: Profiting from Data Storage in a Digital Society and Minting Content: 7 Rules for Confidently Coining Market Content, to help industry executives create value with data and content.
